Economic Policy Committee


  • Serves in a solely advisory capacity. Committee membership consists of practicing economists from business, academia, consultancies and non-governmental organizations that are members of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.
  • To consider, report on, and makes recommendations on issues related to national economic policy with particular reference to monetary and fiscal policy, productivity and competitiveness.
  • To review and provide input to submissions on monetary and fiscal matters for presentation to the federal government.
  • To comment and provide advice on resolutions submitted by the Canadian Chamber network.
  • To liaise with the Taxation Committee on fiscal policy and with other Canadian Chamber committees on matters of national economic importance.
