International Trade Day

This year’s event focused on Canada’s trade relationships with its two leading trade partners-the United States and the European Union. Panellists discussed what must be done on Canada-U.S. border, energy and regulatory policy to make trade with the United States smoother for Canadian companies, and what needs to happen to get a successful Canada-European Union trade agreement to the finish line. The event also featured keynote presentations by the Hon. Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade and Minister of the Asia-Pacific Gateway and by Gary Doer, Ambassador of Canada to the United States, and David Jacobson, Ambassador of the United States of America to Canada.
