Minister Dion speaks at our International Affairs Committee meeting

On December 9, our International Affairs Committee met with senior representatives of the new government to discuss Canada’s international agenda. We were pleased the Hon. Stéphane Dion, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Pamela Goldsmith-Jones, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and David Lametti, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of International Trade, were able to join us to discuss pressing issues, such as climate change, responsible business practices abroad, the TPP, CETA and an agenda with China and North America.

Our International Affairs Committee is the key advisor of our international policy priorities, with representation from 30 leading companies, sector associations and chambers of commerce. It meets four to six times per year with senior officials to discuss pressing issues for Canadian business.
