Today’s job losses a canary in the coal mine? Canadian Chamber sees potential tipping point

(OTTAWA) – December 6, 2019 – The Honourable Perrin Beatty, PC, OC, President and CEO of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, released the following statement following today’s job loss numbers.

“Today’s surprising job loss figures paint a disturbing picture of storm clouds on the horizon. We urgently require all Parliamentarians to put competitiveness front and centre for the new year. Businesses have been clear about the need to fix the fundamental weaknesses that have become a drag upon our prosperity. It is essential for all Canadians that we develop a national economic strategy to promote growth.”
